Studio 6 Suites Charlotte, NC - Northlake

I was locked out of my room, and the place was filthy. There was hair, food crumbs, and stains all over the floor, plus marks on the walls, lampshades, pictures, and headboard. The couch was covered in crumbs and hair too. Housekeeping knocked and asked if I'd switched rooms because no one was supposed to be in there. It clearly hadn't been cleaned. I'm not sure where the positive reviews were staying, but surely not at the 4930 sunset location. It was gross. Spend a little more or stay somewhere else.

Expedia gave this place a 7, but no, don't stay here. It's gross and very dirty. I spilled water on the floor and wiped it with a towel that may now be ruined. There was hair on the clean towels, grease stains on the sheets, and dirty handprints on the wall by the toilet. The Expedia photos are very generous.

The manager was very rude and should be replaced. My kids were three hours away, but they wouldn't let them check in. The website says you must be 18, and one child is 20, another is 18, and the youngest is ten. They said the ten-year-old's guardian had to be with her. Wouldn't her sister count as her guardian? Update the online policy so people know the requirements ahead of time instead of saying you can check in at 18. I don't recommend this location or any Motel 6. This is the second one that's done this to them.

We couldn't check into our room, so we ended up sleeping in our car in a parking garage in uptown Charlotte. We'd come for a concert, and nowhere else had rooms available. The office was closed when we arrived. I booked one night, Oct 26th to the morning of the 27th, and the area seemed kind of sketchy, too. I'm waiting to hear back from the location about a refund. We shouldn't be charged for a room we couldn't check into.
