Sleep Inn Fort Mill near Carowinds Blvd.

The staff we met at check-in and checkout were very attentive, and we had a good night during our one-night stay. The room was spacious, clean, and had a small fridge and microwave. The bed and towels were white and smelled nice. Breakfast had no protein, but for the price it was fine: yogurt, apples, bananas, cupcakes, bread, bread, and cereal.

The front desk staff were great, but the rest was a real disappointment. Housekeeping and maintenance walked in on my wife and me three times without knocking or checking first. The second time was especially bad: we were having some fun when the housekeeper came in, got a full look, then screamed and ran out. Management was supposed to call me, but I still haven’t heard anything. If you want privacy here, good luck.

The third-shift staff member was amazing and really helpful. He deserves a raise for what he has to deal with. The hotel itself is a mess: the toilets wouldn't flush, I killed several roaches, the showers are closet-sized, and the beds are loud. It needs an upgrade everywhere. I'm local and lived in Fort Mill, and this place is an embarrassment to my hometown. I'd give it zero stars if I could, and I won't be back.

The hotel is older, but it's kept up well and has what you need. Breakfast was very basic, though enough to get the day started. Check-in was seamless, and everyone on staff was courteous. It's easy to get on and off the road and close to a lot of places. I'd stay again.
