Village West Resort & Hotel

The diner is hardly ever open, and there are no activities left for kids or adults. The movie theater is gone, mini golf was removed, and lots of arcade games are broken. They won't replace broken equipment, the beds are still the same, and even in 2025 there was no wifi. I've been coming since the 90s, when this was a fun place to vacation. It has kept getting worse over the years, and it's sad to see. I guess good things come to an end.

This was our fourth stay, and I was so disappointed by how far downhill the place has gone. There were mouse droppings all under the kitchen sink, and the bedspreads and blankets were dirty, stained, and full of holes. The carpets needed vacuuming, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling and light fixtures. They did bring us a new toaster because the one in the room was too dirty for us to use. Sadly, we won't spend our money staying here again.

Our disgusting three-bedroom unit had old green carpet, stained pillows, and dirty dishes in the cupboard. The beds were worn out with no support, and I could feel the springs through the sheets. We only stayed because we were with a large group spread across several units; otherwise, we would have left at check-in. An absolute dump. I can't say enough bad things about it.

At $300 a night, I expected a much nicer place, but this was one of the worst hotel rooms I've stayed in. The door wouldn't latch unless pushed hard, and the mattress felt like a board. The sheets barely fit and kept coming off during the night. Everything looked very dated, like the 1970s, and there was a big spider crawling on the ceiling. The room had a funky smell, and the carpet and linens were really grungy. Extremely disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
