About a month ago I stayed here with my dog and toddler, and everyone was super friendly and great. When I went to check in yesterday, I learned that the new rules only allow check-in for people over 21 and don't allow pets. I canceled the reservation, but then they charged my card almost $70. Sharing this in case the new policies save someone else the inconvenience I had.

Clean beds and a clean fridge, and the location is convenient. There was dust on the walls and counters, and the floor needed sweeping. People with breathing issues shouldn't have to deal with that. Otherwise, I'd recommend the place. It's very affordable, though the incidental fee is twice the nightly rate.

I was there one night with my 9-year-old son, whom I hadn't seen in over two months. After we checked in and went out to eat, we noticed three police cars in the lot. No big deal at first. Two hours later there were nine. In the room on the other side of our wall, room 230 for us and room 228 for a fugitive, officers were trying to get someone to surrender. They broke the window and escorted him out. Around 10:15 PM, after another half hour, my son and I could finally get to our room, walking past broken glass. I understand they needed to get him, but my son understandably didn't feel safe. We tried to settle down, then saw two bugs run across the floor. I took pictures, and an ID app called them "dusty roach." We moved to room 212. I didn't see bugs there, but the deadbolt didn't line up, so our room had no working deadbolt. I maybe slept four hours, and my son maybe six. I'm furious. This was unacceptable and disgusting. The hospitality was okay, and the woman did move us, but everyone seemed dismissive, like this happened all the time and we should just get over it.

Things seem to have changed a lot since a new manager took over. The place feels more like a family setting now, and it's becoming better and safer for everyone, including kids. I'd recommend it to friends and family. Thank you to the staff for being kind and patient and for treating my granddaughter and the people there so warmly. That alone makes it feel more like we're all together, like a family.

Mac was really helpful at check-in and answered all my questions, even the ones I thought were silly. Jenn, Brianne, Kasey, and the housekeeper Alexandria have all been sweet and kind. Everyone we've met has been professional, and we feel much safer here than at the other motel where we stayed for nine months. It's also quieter. We have a non-smoking room, but it often smells like cigarette smoke and Marijuana, and we can smell what other people are cooking. That's the part that bothers us. I also wish people would pick up their dogs' poop. The hardwood floors are great. I'd like a bigger kitchenette and more cable channels, but we're very happy here overall.
