The peaceful, quiet setting was just what I needed to focus and unwind, and the affordable accommodations were fantastic. As a New Jersey resident attending college, I found that my second stay at the Walden quickly eased my academic stress. It even turned into a secret weapon for exam success. Huge thank you to Ronna and the team for making this visit so great. Walden On the Pond is a hidden gem in Spring Lake. I can wait until fall finals week to book my third visit, though I'm already looking forward to it.

The room itself wasn't bad, though the hotel is only 20 yards from the train track, which could bother light sleepers. It wasn't much of an issue for me. The service gets one star mainly because the landlord kept putting off returning my deposit. She first said she wouldn't return it in person and could only mail it to my home. After a month with no reply to my message, I called. Then she said she needed to work out the cleaning fee. Another two weeks passed with nothing, and I realized I was never going to see my deposit.

That pond seating area was a favorite of mine. The place was peaceful and clean, and the staff were friendly. Our room had a beautiful decor, and the beach is so close. It's a great place for a relaxing stay. We had a great time and will definitely visit again.

I recently spent two delightful months at Walden on The Pond, and it felt like a home away from home. The warm welcome and genuine hospitality made the long stay really enjoyable, with the charming town and tranquil retreat offering a lovely balance of relaxation and exploring. I'm looking forward to coming back. Owner Ronna manages the hotel attentively, and her care shows in the service, the personalized touches in the rooms, and the courteous staff. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the shared spaces are inviting, and everything feels carefully considered for a comfortable stay. The beach is close, with easy access to the calming shore. Walden on The Pond has left a lasting impression and is definitely on my list for future getaways.

The lake view and backyard are absolutely stunning. The housekeeper, a very kind and attentive young man, went beyond what I expected: he handled all my requests and did a great job cleaning and organizing. The owner was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The accommodation was peaceful, spotless, and comfortable, and I felt right at home. It's an amazing place for unwinding and enjoying the surroundings, with incredible hospitality and service. I highly recommend it for a comfortable, peaceful stay near the beach.
