I’ve stayed at several La Quinta locations over the years and usually like them, but this one doesn’t measure up. The attendant was somewhat friendly, and the old rooms were clean. The elevator wasn’t working, and remodeling meant the breakfast lounge couldn’t be used. They said hot breakfast was included, but only continental breakfast was offered in another room with no tables, so we had to eat in our assigned room. Those issues might have been understandable if we’d been told before booking. We weren’t, and only found out on arrival. Canceling would have meant a booking or cancellation fee. It felt like taking that money mattered more than being upfront with customers. They may be losing my business.

The elevator was out over Thanksgiving weekend, though it didn’t affect me since my room was on the ground floor. The room itself was nice and clean, and the location was great. Roosters is less than a five minute walk away, and Jungle Jim's International Market is about four miles north on Ohio State Route 4. I highly recommend going there. There’s no pool, inside or out, but that was fine with me. Breakfast was very good.

The location worked perfectly for us, so we’ll stay here again. Our room was clean, staff were really friendly, and breakfast was fine. The showers had hot water and strong pressure. I’m not sure what people with all the bad reviews expected. This place was fine!

We booked two rooms for three nights, and the elevator never worked. That wasn’t mentioned before booking, and one family member was a senior with mobility challenges, so going up and down the stairs was very difficult. Room service never came to clean either room, make the beds, or bring fresh towels. The rooms weren’t clean when we checked in: one drawer had crumbs and residue from previous guests, and there was staining on the bathroom wall from behind the door to the toilet seat. Neither TV had a channel guide on screen or on paper, so we had to click around randomly to find something to watch. This is unacceptable for a hotel claiming a 3 star rating. Never again.

The elevator still wasn’t working, and the hotel is under renovation. The lobby is closed, and they’re serving breakfast in a hotel room. It looks nothing like the pictures. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have booked here.
