Zion Lodge - Inside the Park

We had a wonderful stay and have already booked a spring trip. The room was clean and cozy, the heaters kept us comfortable on winter nights, and the stargazing was world-class. The lodge staff were friendly and efficient. The location is hard to beat: Emerald Pools trailhead is just across the road, Pa’rus trail is a quick five-minute drive, and Temple of Sinawava (Riverside Walk) is about 10-12 minutes away. Staying here also let us get a parking spot before outside visitors arrived. Private cars are only allowed in the canyon during specific times in December, so check the NPS website for current shuttle schedules.

The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was pretty good. It's only a few minutes' drive from the park, with a great view and very good prices. Lovely lodge to stay at. And if anyone tries to tell you there are bison, they're lying! 😂😂😂

We stayed inside the National Park in early March and really enjoyed the Lodge. I'd happily go back and would give it 10/10. I'd heard that in season the whole area, not just Zion Lodge, can get packed and hectic. The restaurant's service was very good and the food was great. Breakfast was a regular buffet, nothing fancy, but there were probably 30-40 choices and the prices were reasonable. In Springdale, basic food comes at tourist prices, so staying in the Lodge felt worth it compared with an Airbnb there. Some reviews call the rooms dated and short on accommodations. Once I realized they meant no smart TVs and old-fashioned blinds with pull strings, it made me giggle.

We arrived around dusk and couldn't see anything outside, but the front desk was helpful and the rooms were decent. I liked the front porch, and the bathrooms were nice. The shower flow was a bit weak and the WiFi somewhat unreliable. The location is great, right beside a bus stop.
