Comfort Inn South - Springfield

The location is excellent, with shops and lots of restaurants close by, many within walking distance. The grounds felt clean and safe, and the staff were super friendly. Our room was clean, though there was a used towel on the back of the bathroom door when I went to shower. The bed slanted so much to one side that I had to lie sideways to avoid rolling off. My daughter and I had driven in for a test and chose this place for the pool and hot tub, but the pool was closed for "cleaning." I travel a lot, and places usually email or call if amenities will be closed. I wasn't told in advance that part of the facility would be unavailable this time, so I was really disappointed.

The location was perfect for our December 2025 trip to Springfield, close to shopping, Bass Pro, and the Aquarium. Our room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel or location. Highly recommend it.

The hotel sits in the town's prime shopping area, and both the lobby and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was hearty, and the workers were fantastic. Alex B. and Gary C. were two of the hardest workers there, getting things done while keeping things light-hearted.

It's a great hotel, but we like to get on the road early, so the breakfast hours were a problem. When we went down, the food was already out, but we were told breakfast didn't start until 7 am. Why leave food sitting there for an hour? A girls' volleyball team had to bring in restaurant food so they could eat before a game. Why not keep the hours the same all seven days? Next time, I guess we'll find a drive-through.
