The bed and bathroom were nice, the TV worked well, and there was a refrigerator in the room. We might stay again if there weren’t other options in the area. There were only 3 pillows for the king bed, and the switch by the room door didn’t work. An area that looked like it was meant for a couch was empty. The glass door at the back was cracked, the carpet worn, and there was a marijuana and urine smell by the door. The pool was closed and looked run down. Breakfast was included, but wasn’t available before 7 am or after 9 am.

I’ve only written one or two reviews even though I stay in hotels for work all the time, and I’ve never seen anything this bad. I wanted this to be better. After I asked for information about the vandalism and theft, I got laughed at, and that’s why I’m laying it all out. My vehicle was broken into and a window shattered. It was on video, but no one apologized. The police are taking their time, if they’re doing anything at all. Groups of men were partying in the parking lot, blasting music at 10, and some men were exposing themselves and peeing wherever they wanted, even with women and children around, including girls. We also saw roaches in the dining area. Breakfast wasn’t much: moldy muffins, half-cooked sausage, and green eggs, which I thought only existed in a Dr. Seuss book. The housekeepers were nice, but not very good at their jobs. There was mold in the hotel, and after going in the pool 3 separate times, all of us got sick. The place clearly isn’t being taken care of.

On Sunday May 3rd, there was no hot water, and the room TV remote wasn’t working. I called the front desk from the room, but no one answered. I went up there a few times and found only a sign asking guests to call another number, saying staff would be back in 5 minutes. They weren’t. My DoorDash driver can confirm it. On Monday 4th, the water was still barely warm. I couldn’t find the included breakfast, so I left earlier than planned. The pillows were very thin and flat. Every other Quality Inn king room I’ve stayed in had a small couch or a chair with a footrest; there was room for one here, but it only had an uncomfortable office chair. I like Quality Inn hotels, but this was the worst one. The biggest issue was the lack of hot water, and it was very cold. I was still charged full price, though a hotel without hot water shouldn’t be open to guests. I finally spoke with the desk employee that morning. They asked if I’d told anyone the night before, but I explained the front desk was empty, nobody answered my room call, and no one picked up the number on the sign. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but this one needed it. Maybe I just got the crappy room that should’ve been out of order, I don’t know. Someone should be at the desk. I understand hotels are trying to cut costs with one overnight worker, but maybe it’s time to go back to two.

My wife was in Springfield for a funeral, and this hotel only made a hard time worse. The pool was closed, there was no hot buffet or any food at all as promised, and the room had code issues, including uncovered electrical outlets, exposed AC wiring, and holes in the walls. There was no security either. We tried to get a partial refund but got no response. Avoid this place.

The flowers in the pots were dead, and the main guest area could’ve been nice if someone kept it up. Getting to the rooms meant walking around the common area, which was a strange layout. The room itself was decent for the price, but breakfast was a joke: everything sat cold on the warming trays and needed to go in a microwave.
