Red Roof Inn Springfield, MO

Room 123 had a comfy bed, was clean, and the new toilet and sink were nice. The heater worked well. But a lot needs attention: the shower was really bad, all the shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap were empty, and there was no counter space by the sink. The TV picture was grainy with stripes. The door security device hung sideways and was useless, and toilet paper had been stuffed into the door peephole.

I’ve stayed twice, and the staff have been pleasant, trustworthy, and ready to help with anything that needs attention. They keep watch on the parking lot for security and monitor the halls, which makes it feel different from other motels and hotels. The rooms are clean and have all the amenities, including a microwave, fridge, and the good cable. For Springfield, Missouri, I don’t think there’s a better place to stay, especially for this price. Thanks for your kindness, cleanliness, and everything you do. I’d give this stay 10 stars compared with the rest.

The overnight noise from people on the top floor was awful, like someone was pacing and moving furniture around. On arrival, someone was yelling profanities at the desk worker. That wasn’t the business’s fault, but it was jarring. Our room was quite dirty, especially the sink and shower, with mold and dirt along the sink edges and very dirty bathroom walls. The flooring in the middle of the room was also pretty damaged. I’d seen people mention muffins or some kind of small breakfast, but it was just coffee. I appreciate that one pet can stay free, but we’ll pass on another Red Roof Inn. I know it’s a budget hotel in Springfield, but this fell below an already low expectation.

The owners clearly take pride in this property, and I was really impressed. It was probably the best Red Roof I’ve stayed at, hands down. The room was clean and everything worked well, though the shower pressure was a little weak. Great stay!
