My family and I enjoyed our stay without any problems, and I’d stay here again if I needed to. The hotel and our room were clean, the employees were friendly, and breakfast was great with plenty of different things available. Five stars from me and my family.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast changes from day to day, and some mornings they have bacon. A free shuttle takes you to the Washington Metro and can pick you up there, too. I hadn’t known about that convenient amenity when I booked. I gave four stars because the pet fee is high, though I understand it.

I’m here for the Thanksgiving holidays, and I’m happy with the rate and the hotel. My room was clean, the beds are soft, and there are lots of blankets to keep warm and plenty of towels. The ladies do a good job cleaning, especially compared with some other places. A few things are older, but still in good shape. I don’t think it’s horribly outdated, and I’ve seen worse, believe me. I haven’t had breakfast yet but plan to try it tomorrow. I don’t know about the bad reviews, I enjoy this place and appreciate it.

The king room bed was comfortable, but the stay was bad enough that I’ll never return. I booked through points and could choose a king or double for the same amount. The beds in the double room were very hard, so we asked to switch before sleeping or unpacking. The employee said it would be a $25 upgrade. When I questioned that since both choices cost the same points, he told me he wouldn’t charge and to go ahead with the switch. At checkout, the same employee had a $25 upgrade charge on our receipt. He denied saying he’d waive it, and it felt like he’d just said what I wanted to hear to get me to leave the night before. The money itself wasn’t a big deal, but saying one thing and then doing another was unprofessional. I’d have been fine if he’d simply said he had to charge it. The first room’s bathroom was dirty, and the second had a broken sink and mold in the shower.
