The night staff really made our stay. He was gracious and kind, talked with us, and showed us a couple of rooms so we could choose one that felt most comfortable and quiet. We've stayed at Marriott, Fairmont, Accor, Best Western, Holiday Inn, Travelodge, Ramada, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Days Inn, and other places, but this was the most genuine check-in we've had. We need more people who take pride in their work like that. It's a mom-and-pop place, and you can tell they work hard to keep things comfortable and clean. Our room was newly renovated, with a fridge and microwave, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. It isn't luxurious, but it has what you need for a 1-2 night stay while exploring Linville Falls and the Blueridge Parkway. It's a better choice than staying in Linville, where there are fewer options and they're more expensive. Love this place!

UPDATE: After I followed up with Cap1/Expedia, Sanjay did the right thing and gave me a full refund. That means a lot in business, thank you, Sanjay. We booked this room for the kitchen and paid $162 a night, so I expected at least a decent motel. I was very wrong. It was the most disgustingly filthy motel I've ever seen. We complained to Scott, the manager, who was polite and nice. He inspected the room, agreed it was bad, apologized, and said he was sure Sanjay, the owner, would refund us. We left after 20 minutes and told the manager we weren't staying, but Sanjay initially kept the full night plus tax. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but that was appalling and short-sighted. I've posted pictures as proof. Stay away if you value your health.

I saw all the awful reviews and decided to stay anyway, and I'm glad I did. My wife and I were very pleased. The room was clean and had a king bed and a big-screen TV. It was quiet, with little traffic, and for the price and location it's a great place to stay. There are plenty of food options nearby and the motel is close to everything. We loved it and will definitely come back. Don't just believe the bad reviews, try it for yourself.

We were in room 30 last night and were really happy with both the room and the service. It was super clean, with a huge TV and a nice king bed, and the area felt safe. There are some food options nearby, too. Scott, the very kind veteran at the front desk, was so friendly and even brought me an extra-soft pillow for my neck problems. Thanks again, Scott, and thank you for your service. We'll be back. 🙏 :)

The bed and furnishings were new and looked well cared for. Check-in was quick, and I watched the cleaning crew vacuum and change the sheets as usual. But the floor was damaged by flooding two years ago. The laminate is coming loose, with mold showing between the boards. It felt sticky enough that I didn't want to walk on it without socks or shoes.
