Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, made from scratch and absolutely delicious. The location is hard to beat, with shops, restaurants, and attractions just steps away. Brian, the owner, was very kind and welcoming, and Ryan was just as welcoming when he checked us in and served breakfast. Our room felt quaint and cozy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. There was a jetted tub, toiletries, and water on each nightstand. It was also amazingly quiet. We just left after a wonderful stay and will definitely come back again and again.

We stayed three nights in the Orchid room over New Year's. The owner was humble and kind, and he and the staff were all friendly. The property is charming, with thoughtful decorating, and people often stop to admire it. Set right in the middle of historic downtown, it's easy to explore on foot. The room was clean and the atmosphere warm. When our door wouldn't unlock, the owner came to fix it and checked that we were all right. Breakfast was beautifully presented, too. We'd definitely come back.

Our room was small, but very clean and well appointed, and it had the best shower. We could step out onto the front balcony, and there were some nice outdoor seating areas. Tina and Kim were wonderful hosts and cooks, and breakfast was awesome. The place is near the fort, shopping, and the trolley, with free parking as a bonus. The new owner is planning renovations. We'd definitely stay here again.

As a local, I'd always wanted to try a place like this, but I'm embarrassed by the experience. For nearly $300 a night when we stayed at the end of February, it felt like a complete waste. I'd look elsewhere, or stay at Hilton on the bay front, where you'd get a better view than the abandoned, boarded-up building we saw here. The room was small and visibly worn, with missing paint, cracks, and a fan we had to spin to get started. Parking was a long way off. The jacuzzi tub was interesting, but the tap water turned cold before we'd filled it enough to use the jets. The so-called drinks and coffee bar was pathetic, and there wasn't even any water. The Keurig wasn't anything special. The front desk woman was clueless and unhelpful when we tried to find the breakfast cafe. I was thoroughly disappointed. This place felt like a scam.

I surprised my husband with a getaway, and the stay was cozy and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked wonderfully. Ryan and Brian were both so nice. We were served an amazing breakfast, and the location was great. I'd highly recommend 44 Spanish Street Inn to anyone looking for a lovely experience. Thanks for the memories!
