Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, St. Augustine Do

The staff were fine and the location was great, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. The whole hotel smelled musty, like there might have been a long term leak or earlier flooding. Our room was musty and dirty too, with a wet bed and carpet. The ceiling had marks that looked like mold, a leak, or years of smoke. There were cigarette ashes on the bed and floor, the comforter was ripped in several places, and the tub was rusted. The AC didn't work, and I found a syringe in the dresser drawer. The hotel is being renovated, but that doesn't fix what I assume is mold in the walls. I'm sure the location is the only reason they get customers. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The building and lobby looked okay, but the room was absolutely disgusting. It wasn't just dirty, it was nasty. The carpet was old, filthy, and smelled like FECAL MATTER (edited). The bathroom was filthy, filthy, filthy, and clearly hadn't been deep cleaned in a long time. The tub needs resurfacing if the dirt won't come out, and the shower head could be cleaned or replaced. Those are easy, cheap fixes. I was in room 217. In daylight, I took more pictures that show the room hadn't been cleaned in a while, and the photos make that clear. This seems to keep happening according to other reviews, but aside from a polite reply, nothing gets done. Dear Manager, the issue is sanitation. It's simple, just clean. Let the pictures speak for themselves and judge for yourself.

The Magnolia is run down and dirty, and it needs new rugs and new management. There were roaches in the room. They said they would refund my money, but nine days later I still hadn't received it. A warning: don't stay here. Management also posted feedback under my name that wasn't mine, so I had to edit it completely.

We won't be coming back to Magnolia Inn in December after this stay. The room's a/c worked well, but that was about the only good part. The tub and toilet both looked dirty and needed refinishing, and the comforter smelled of body odor. When we left at 6:35 am, nobody was at the front desk. There was a handwritten note telling guests to use the back door and call a number in an emergency. The breakfast room also wasn't open, even though its sign said 6 am.
