We didn't need amenities, and the room did what we needed. The location is hard to beat, though the price felt high for the room. The units are old, like much of St Augustine, but in my opinion they've updated the rooms pretty well. If you're after glamour, stay somewhere else. I liked the linoleum floors and would take them over old hotel carpet, and the AC worked great. The office staff were professional and checked several times if I needed anything. No complaints.

My stay was a nightmare. The rooms were filthy, with hair and debris all over, and they felt dangerously disorganized, with hazards in every corner. Cleanliness was badly neglected. The gentleman from India who looked after guests was shockingly rude and unaccommodating, with no hospitality at all. It was a miserable experience, and I strongly advise people not to subject themselves to those conditions or that disrespectful treatment.

The bed was somewhat comfortable, but the rest of the room was concerning. Room 108 looked updated, yet it seems to have had water damage, and I was glad the ceiling didn't cave in. One bedside lamp didn't work, and bugs were flying around the toilet. There was no deadbolt, which worried me, especially since I wasn't alone in the room. Shouldn't that be illegal? At $150 a night, I thought it was steep, even with the motel being on Anastasia Blvd, down the road from downtown St Augustine. It's not worth that much. They should take rooms out of service until they're fully ready, and maintenance needs to fix that questionable ceiling.

We had a nice stay in a quiet, clean room, and the price was good. The location is great, and the rooms look like they were recently updated. They did a decent job, though some of the work seems rough, especially the finishes. I wish they'd spent more time on those and on improving the exterior. The weathered sign and uninviting building made me worry about what we'd find inside when we arrived. I'm probably nitpicking.

The room was filthy, with dirty floors, mold in the shower and AC, and no upper safety latch on the door. There was a hole in the wall behind the handle, no cover over the ceiling light, and too few outlets. The warped bathroom door wouldn't close, water spilled from the shower onto the floor, the shower plumbing was reversed, and there were no towel hangers. When I raised all this with management, I got excuses and was dismissed. I asked for a refund for one night, but he said he couldn't do that. I will never recommend anyone stay there!
