The room had plenty of space and storage, and the front desk was friendly when I arrived before check-in during the Christmas holidays. As a Gold member, I appreciated getting a discount on parking after I asked about the charge. I still don’t understand charging for an uncovered lot in such a crowded area. The hotel needs major upkeep. The AC and heat didn’t work properly, and the bathroom was in rough shape, with broken tile and sink seal, a dusty, clogged hair dryer, and dim lighting. Breakfast fell short of what I’ve had at other Hampton Inns. The location is decent, though walking to popular sights could be inconvenient in bad weather. On checkout day, only one staff member was at the desk despite the holiday rush, so the process dragged. Overall, I was disappointed by the maintenance.

We stopped here on the way to Port Everglades. The building was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. The pool and hot tub stayed open until 10 pm, and we went down after the kids had gone to bed without anyone saying anything. There’s also a gym available for guests. I’m not a big fan of St Augustine as a town. Some people may like it, but I found there wasn’t much to do that didn’t cost a fortune.

That breakfast really won me over. I usually skip complimentary hotel breakfasts, but here the chicken and sausage patties, mini egg omelets, and those triangular blueberry muffins or pastries were so good. I hope other Hampton Inn locations serve them too. We spent three days in St. Augustine, and the hotel was close to the Historic district. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were very friendly. I loved staying here. If other Hampton Inns have breakfast like this, I’ll choose one on my next vacation. Five stars all the way! 👍

The hotel was clean and well kept, and my wife and I loved our first holiday visit to St. Augustine. What spoiled the experience was an extra $112 charge on top of what I’d already paid for the room. We stayed two nights, so I thought parking should have been only $40 plus tax. I’d planned to enjoy the weekend with my wife, so I left alone.

Paula at the bar was amazing, and the location is fabulous. The price, though, was ridiculous. Our room felt very dated, the fridge didn’t work, and the toilet paper was one ply. There was no smart TV, just six channels of 1960s series, and actual rabbit ears in the room. WTH. They’re gouging people for the Christmas lights and charging for parking too. We won’t be back. Do better, Hilton. Leave the light off, Motel 6.
