Geneva Motel Inn

I booked a non-smoking room because I have asthma. Today, though, I smoked a joint probably 20 minutes before showing up, sprayed on cologne, and headed over. At the desk the woman gave me a hard time and tried to put me in a cigarette-smoking room. I don't smoke cigarettes, and what you book is what you get. They can take the situation into account afterward during my stay. She needs to take a break and give it up. It was straight disrespect. The property isn't even nice or pleasant-smelling enough to be judging people so harshly or acting that strict. I lost respect for the place and won't give it my business. I'm being respectful, but the front desk woman, who I think is the owner, is always mad and rude.

The room itself was clean, and the owners were very nice, but I found the property a little disgusting. Trash cans by the entrances and at the back were full and smelled, with trash scattered around outside. Every door was open and key cards weren't being used, so anyone could have walked into the building. On September 11 to 13, 2025, our first room's door wouldn't open with either set of keys, so they switched us. We started unpacking in the new room, but its air conditioning suddenly stopped. They tried resetting it at my request, without success, and we had to move again mid-unpacking. The hallway was lined with mattresses. One owner said they'd bought new ones and planned to repurpose the old ones. I wondered why the mattresses were all in the hallway and why they weren't covered in plastic. They looked gross.

For a simple, budget-friendly motel, this is an easy recommendation. It was my first stay and I was very pleased: the rooms were super clean, spacious, and had comfy beds, a fridge, coffee pot, and large flat-screen TV. The location felt great and safe, and free breakfast was included. I'd definitely come back.

We couldn't stay longer than a day and won't return. The elevator barely worked, the pool steps felt like they might fall off, and the shower barely worked. Our beds were hard and uncomfortable, ants were crawling across the bathroom floor, and the sprinkler heads were rusted over. My friend's six-year-old daughter spotted a cracked mirror beside her bed. The breakfast was a joke. Some window screens were almost falling out, and the key cards barely worked. There were patched spots on the walls covering damage too.
