Casa Rosa in St Helena

We’ve stayed at Inn St. Helena for two years now. The staff are fantastic, and breakfast is amazing, a lovely start to a day of wine testing. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable, with shops and restaurants just a quick walk away. We’ll be back in 2027.

Patrice helped us, the staff were awesome, and the inn was spotless. Breakfast was amazing too. The location is perfect for exploring St. Helena, and the whole stay was fantastic. Thanks, guys, for making it even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely return as soon as I get the chance.

The included breakfast was excellent. Inn St Helena is a lovely Victorian-age inn spread across two houses, furnished with beautiful period antiques. Our room was very comfortable, with an excellent bed and private bathroom. The house we stayed in also had a modern shared kitchen, living room, and TV room. There’s off-street parking behind the houses.

I’m revising my initial one-star review after what happened. The innkeeper contacted me a day or two after our original check-in date, apologized sincerely, took responsibility, and wanted to make it right. We returned for our last night and stayed in the spacious, very clean Sweetheart Suite, which had all the basic amenities. The location is great, just a few blocks from the Main Street strip. I think we were unlucky and that what happened was probably rare. I’d consider giving them another chance; the space itself was great. At midnight on our check-in night, my husband, baby, and I were stranded without a place to stay, and we couldn’t get a response from or contact the owner. I had booked the honeymoon suite for us and our baby, and told them ahead of time that we’d arrive late. They said they’d send the information before the reservation. On check-in day, I messaged around 10 AM to say I still hadn’t received anything, leaving plenty of time during business hours, and I also called and left messages. By midnight, there was still no response and no way to reach the owner. We were left trying to find somewhere at the last minute late at night with our poor baby. At that point, I wouldn’t recommend it.
