We booked three rooms and stayed 10/18-10/19. The rooms were clean, the location was convenient, and the cleaning staff were nice. Water pressure was decent and stayed hot, and there were plenty of clean towels and washcloths. The front desk staff came across as curt and unwelcoming. Nobody greeted or acknowledged us when we came in for continental breakfast. I was only acknowledged after I said, as I was leaving, “Thank you, I hope you have a good day,” and got “you too” back. Having worked in customer service for nearly two decades, I don't think that's how you should treat a guest who's paying to stay there. Breakfast was just a snack-sized muffin, bagels, and travel bowls of cereal. It wasn't worth the bother to me. I've paid less at other hotels and gotten a better breakfast.

The staff were alright, though they seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the included breakfast. The beds and pillows were a bit too hard for us. Still, the rooms were tidy and clean, and for what we paid, this place was great compared with other options in St. ignace. We had a great room and a great experience overall.

It's easy to walk from here to downtown, the grocery store, and the bridge for the Labor Day walk. The room looked clean, but the carpet needs attention: my feet were black after only a few minutes walking barefoot. There was also a millipede in the bathroom. We ran out of tissues in the morning and housekeeping hadn't replaced them. When we got back that evening, no one was available at the front desk when I tried calling. The beds were a little harder than I like.

The location was good, and at least I had shelter from the rain. But the room wasn't what I expected: the beds were full-size, not queen. The so-called “Continental breakfest” was bagels, little muffins, cereal, milk, and juice, and the coffee creamer was rock hard. This was nowhere near four-star quality. It was my first time to the U.P., and I won't stay here again or recommend it.

The staff were lovely, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Check-in and checkout were really easy. No complaints at all.
