The coffee maker, fridge, and microwave came in handy, and the location was really good. This is a simple motel that does things right: housekeeping was excellent every day, and the owner, Ryan, was friendly and helpful.
Very clean and spacious, with everything we needed except a hook on the back of the bathroom door. It looks freshly renovated, with new paint and an updated bathroom. The front desk was very friendly, and Mackinac Island ferry is just a short walk away. There are several great places to eat nearby, too. Fantastic little motel and great value. I'd stay here again.
The room was immaculate and surprisingly quiet inside, even with the road right beside the building. The beds were okay comfort-wise, and the bedding was clean and cozy. It's affordable and obviously dated, but everything worked without any problems. I'd definitely stay again.
We couldn't stay here because our plans changed at the last minute, though we'd chosen the hotel based on its very high reviews. I called on the day we were due to arrive, and the owner let us cancel without a fee even though we were inside the 48 hour limit. We really appreciate that compassionate gesture. I'm sure you'll enjoy staying here!
I've traveled a lot over the last couple of years, and I enjoy staying at Mom and Pop motels. This was definitely one of the best I've experienced, and the price was exceptional compared with other local options. Check-in was extremely friendly, with plenty of local recommendations. The room was very clean, and it's an easy walk to the Mackinac Island Ferries. Can't say enough nice things about this little motel. Highly recommend it, and I'd love to come back.
