Four Seasons Hotel St Louis

The biggest drawback was the cost. It felt expensive for what you get, since the quality was good but not dramatically different from other high-end hotels I've stayed in. Some common areas, like the pool or lounge, could also get busy depending on the timing. The location made it easy to visit downtown and the riverfront, with some attractions a short drive or walk away. The modern hotel was well kept, and the lobby felt calm and polished without being too formal. My room was spacious and clean, with a nice view of the city and Mississippi River area. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had good lighting and strong water pressure, and housekeeping did a solid job. Staff were generally polite and efficient, though I only dealt with them much at check-in and for basic requests. Everything went smoothly, but the service didn't feel especially personal or memorable. It was still a comfortable, dependable place in a good location. I'd stay again if I wanted that in St. Louis, but would consider other options depending on budget.

The location made it easy to get to the arch and baseball stadium, and the rooms were maintained daily. Staff checked in through the day to see if I needed towels or toiletries. Ivone greeted me at check-in and explained the amenities, while Mercy, Nica, and Lauren carefully went over my bill at checkout. Ramseys Kitchen had delicious food and phenomenal staff. Tatiana did an extraordinary job coordinating employees and helping patrons with a warm manner. Hope was attentive through two of my breakfasts, and the bar staff kept my cup filled and cleared away food while I dined and drank. Thanks, Danyelle, Morgan, Bailey, and Nada. I missed a couple of names, but the staff as a whole were great and on point. I highly recommend the Beef Wellington. Hope I can come back one day. Keep up the great work!

We had a very nice view of the St. Louis river and the Arch from the rooftop terrace and the on-site “Gordan Ramseys Kitchen.” The hotel was also very accommodating to our dog, who came with us for Christmas. Still, coming and going for walks wasn't especially efficient in a hotel this large. There are lots of paths, including one that leads straight to the Arch, but green space is hard to find close by. There were some unsavory folks and homeless individuals around, perhaps because of the casino next door. We never felt unsafe, and the doormen clearly watched carefully when we were outside with the dog. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, and helped with any question or request. The place is clearly high-end, though a little dated compared with the smaller, newer boutique hotels we usually like. The gym was spacious and very nice, with plenty of weight machines. The dumbbells only went up to 50, but that's pretty standard for hotels, and it's one of the nicer hotel gyms I've used. Gordon Ramseys kitchen was quite fancy, but some prices felt unreasonable for what you got. For example, adding about 3oz of chicken to a salad cost $15. When we picked up our order, a couple of things were missing, so we had to make a separate trip. We hadn't made a reservation, so I'm willing to give that a mulligan, especially after the absolutely divine breakfast the next day. The cocktails at the bar were also some of the best I've had in a hotel.

Rooms are huge, including the bathroom, and quiet and luxurious. The bedding and bath were great, and the TV has casting, which I loved. Ramsay's restaurant was delicious, and room service arrived fast and tasted great. Spring for an Arch view room, it's well worth it. Absolutely wonderful stay, one of my best!
