Hilton Garden Inn St. Louis Airport

I booked thinking I'd be closer to the airport, but getting that wrong turned out to be a happy mistake. BRIANNA made check-in easy and friendly, and arranged for me to have rides to and from the car rental station. The rest of the staff were just as welcoming, the shuttle drivers were on point, and parking was free. Breakfast and dinner were very reasonably priced. There isn't a hot tub, but there's an indoor pool, gym, and laundry. It will be my hotel of choice next time. The photos aren't great and it was raining, but I never got wet. Lol.

Getting to the airport was easy with the shuttle, and the staff were very friendly and provided great service. The room was a different story: the tub was worn and dirty, a sheet had a stain, the furniture was scuffed, and the couch smelled dusty. As a Diamond member, I expected more from a Hilton Garden.

I've never had a worse Hilton stay. The shower supplies were nearly empty or empty, the phone in the room didn't work, and both the shower and toilet drained extremely slowly. I had to call the front desk on my mobile. Someone came up, opened the door, and handed me a plunger. Terrible service.

I hate giving a business a two, especially after trying several times to work things out with the local leadership. After two stays over a few months, I can't recommend the airport Hilton Garden Inn, even at its attractive price. The staff who did greet us with a smile earned it an extra star. There were problems throughout the operation and the building: requests for pillows never arrived, wake-up calls didn't happen, and the beds stayed uncomfortable even after we changed rooms. The bath drained slowly; maintenance said it was fixed, but it wasn't, and the tub had a black film on its bottom. The elevator was broken, trash outside was overflowing, and the leather lobby booth seats were cracked and shabby. The place needs an overhaul.
