Drury Plaza Hotel St. Paul Downtown

The evening snacks turned into a full meal, and we loved the free drinks while watching Miss LaLa serve everyone so efficiently and joyfully. She was amazing. Breakfast had everything, not a thing missing. The accommodations were beautiful, the staff friendly, and there were lots of great extras. It was our first time here, and we had a wonderful stay. We didn't get around to trying the pool and hot tub, but we will next trip.

The room was spacious, immaculate, and nicely furnished, with lovely artwork and very comfortable beds. At breakfast, I especially liked the oatmeal and fresh fruit. I also enjoyed the pulled pork and fresh salad at dinner. The staff were the best part, though. On Christmas Eve, Andy, the manager, personally tried to help me find my jacket, which had my keys in a pocket. I was panicking and running around, and he couldn't have been more helpful. What a cool manager. Thanks, Andy!

The downstairs dining area and kitchen were a highlight. The food was amazing, and the servers were friendly and attentive. Natalie also made a big difference to our stay. She welcomed us at check-in, handed over our key cards, and explained the Kickback, which came in handy once we were settled. Something in the room made me uncomfortable, so I called the desk. Natalie reassured me right away and asked me to come down so she could move us to another room. She handled it quickly and professionally, and was genuinely kind. That made me feel much more comfortable. I had a great stay and would absolutely recommend the hotel. Special thanks to Natalie for going above and beyond. Five stars without hesitation.

The hotel sits at 175 10th St E, with the Xcel Energy Center, Minnesota State Capitol, and places like Regions Hospital a safe, simple 15-20 minute walk away. There's a clean indoor pool and hot tub, plus a fitness center that's open 24 hours. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and focused on guests. It seems like a good fit for a concert, a Wild game, or a business conference. All the rooms are roomy two-room suites, with a separate bedroom and living area divided by a door, and two flat-screen TVs. They have king beds, microwaves, refrigerators, and large bathrooms with high-pressure rain shower heads. The building was beautifully renovated after being an Embassy Suites, and the place mixes modern amenities with an older, classic feel. The complimentary food and drinks are a big part of the value. There's hot food in the evening, rotating between sliders, tacos, and other options, plus three free alcoholic drinks per adult. Breakfast is hot, with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a fresh pancake bar. They also put out free fountain soda and fresh popcorn in the lobby every afternoon. To me, it feels like a 5-star stay at a 3-star price, and a real gem people come back to.
