Bellwether Beach Resort St. Pete

The room layouts are a little odd, but they were bright, clean, and memorable. The place has a retro beach feel, the location was great, and the staff were 10/10. My surprise engagement and party were here in March 2024, and I’m only getting around to writing this now. After the proposal, the staff helped put up signs and set aside a large rooftop area for us. The food, drinks, DJ, and atmosphere were everything I could have asked for. They checked in often, made sure everyone was looked after, and kept the drinks flowing. I’ll remember that day for the rest of my life.

The rooms were roomy and really nice, and everyone on staff was so friendly. We loved the lobby Cafe, especially the vanilla latte, and Bongos was handy for a bite after the beach or pool. The location was great too. We loved our stay last week and will definitely be back!

We had a blast celebrating our second anniversary here. Restaurants were all around, and we walked about 5-7 minutes to a delicious dinner spot down the road. The coffee downstairs was so good, too. We also loved the restaurant right outside the hotel on the beach, a great place to sit with your feet in the sand and enjoy a meal. Getting to the beach from our room took less than five minutes. The back door opened right onto the pool, which led straight to the beach, and there were cabanas if you got up early enough to find one.

Sonia kept our room immaculate and was so thoughtful. Whenever she saw us in the hall, she’d say hello and ask if we needed anything. The reception team also helped us throughout our stay, from arranging a room cleaning to changing the date on the complimentary champagne after we missed it for the first three days. They even mailed our marriage license for us. Everyone was incredibly friendly. We stayed in an oceanfront room on the 7th floor while visiting the area to get married, and the breathtaking view alone made the splurge worthwhile. Bongos had a great vibe and kind, funny bar staff. I also loved the Floridian Breakfast at the lobby bar and cafe, St. Pete Social, and got it nearly every day. We’ll come back when they reopen.
