Alden Suites - A Beachfront Resort

We arrived before our rooms were ready, but the staff still had both rooms prepared for us despite our early flight. The place was quiet and relaxing during the slow season, and housekeeping was especially thoughtful with my elderly father. Even the pool cleaner helped us find a nearby attraction. The rooms were clean and updated, with plenty of towels and comfortable beds, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price was great too. Thanks, everyone!

For what I paid, the stay was fine, especially for just one night, though I could find somewhere nicer for a little more. Our group booked the same rooms through the property and third-party sites, and prices varied a lot. I happened to pay almost half what another couple paid for the identical room, so I didn’t feel overcharged, but it’s worth comparing rates. The grounds were pleasant, and the pool farthest from the beach was peaceful, with no screaming kids. The bartenders and security staff were friendly. My front desk experience was good, though a friend ran into a very unpleasant desk attendant one evening. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean, and the A/C worked great even set to 68. The room looked mostly clean, unless you checked behind doors or in the corners. We could hear every word from the neighbors, and their poor pup whining whenever they were away. The bathroom sink barely drained. I’m not very likely to return.

We arrived much earlier than expected, and David at the front desk let us leave our luggage in the staff room, gave us pool towels, and said he’d call when our room was ready. The room had a spectacular view, and the two pools and huge hot tub were all at just the right temperature. The beachside bar has an amazing outlook, and the drinks were tasty. Guests can also use the volleyball court, ping pong, tennis courts, and grills. Every desk employee we met was friendly and helpful. They suggested a great spot for our last meal in St Petersburg beach and seemed genuinely sorry to see us go. We felt like part of the family. This resort was fantastic, and I’d highly recommend it. If we get the chance to return, we’ll stay here again.

On my first trip to St. Pete, I picked this hotel and was glad I did. We were worried about arriving too early to check in, but the front desk let us into our room ahead of time. Even from the second floor, the view was amazing. The room was clean, and the hotel is right by the beach. Both large pools were clean and lovely to swim in. The room service team came by daily and made sure everything was picked up. Everyone was so friendly and nice about everything. I’d book here again.
