Galaxy Hotel

Randy was the standout for me. He communicated clearly, dealt with a few room issues efficiently and courteously, and stayed calm and focused on solutions during what seemed like a stressful housekeeping situation. He’s a real asset to the team. I was at The Galaxy Hotel for a company event. Booking by phone was easy, and the parking details sent before arrival helped set expectations. The staff were all wonderful.

Randy at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. I loved the room and would definitely recommend the hotel. A printer for guests on business would be useful, and the in-room coffee maker could be better.

The staff were helpful and accommodating, and the rooms felt modern, spacious, and distinctive rather than generic. They have a smart TV and a nice large shower, with great views and a great location. For the price, it’s a good deal compared with both the nicer hotels and the dives nearby. It’s usually almost $100 cheaper than the other non-dive places, and I’d rather spend that money on a fancy meal or a jet ski. There are some downsides. The small garage is awkward, with very few spaces, and I saw drivers nearly scrape parked cars. You can hear a lot between rooms, and the cleaning wasn’t spotless. There are no amenities in the building. It feels like the hotel has real potential, but the execution is lackluster. Still, it’s a reasonable stay and good value for the area.

The rooms were clean and really nice, and the location worked perfectly, with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Denise, Randy, and the front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Their customer service was excellent, and they went above and beyond. Even my guests commented on how great Randy was. I booked a block of rooms for my wedding at Sunken Gardens and would recommend the hotel to any bride. They do require a contract, which may not work for everyone, but it suited my needs.
