Staybridge Suites St. Petersburg Downtown by IHG

Liz from housekeeping was a huge help when we arrived and realized we’d booked the wrong suite. I found her on our floor, and she did an amazing job helping us switch rooms. She also got us more high-top chairs for a meal we were hosting in the suite. We were glad we could bring our dog for our two-night stay. Lashawn in the breakfast area takes a lot of pride in her work. Breakfast was lovely and delicious, and her smile was infectious. The hotel was quiet. Parking was very tight over the weekend, and the rooms were a bit old. The TV remote showed Netflix and other services, but when we called the front desk for help, they said none of that worked.

I’m from NY and have stayed at more than 50 hotels up and down the East Coast, but this is the only Staybridge Suites I choose. The front desk staff, especially Chrisella, Sakina, and Princess, are the most welcoming, professional, kind, courteous, and accommodating I’ve found anywhere. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean, and breakfast made by the chef and sous chef is phenomenal. The maintenance staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful whenever needed. This hotel is superior to the others I’ve stayed in, and it’s THE place to stay when you visit St. Pete!

Princess is the reason I booked here. I’d read all the amazing reviews about her, and she absolutely lived up to them. She was welcoming and accommodating, and sorted out any issues quickly with a smile and a positive attitude. Staybridge Suites should give her a major raise and consider moving her up to corporate to show other hotels what good customer service looks like. The location is central, just a few minutes from downtown. Parking costs $10, but free breakfast and laundry help make up for it. It’s a long-term stay hotel, so there’s some wear and tear, but for a night or two it’s well worth staying close to downtown and having a beautiful breakfast. Princess made the stay worthwhile, 100%. This is probably my first hotel review, and it’s well deserved. Thank you, Princess! - Victoria

I was impressed both times I stayed, and Princess gave great customer service on each visit. Chrisella was sweet and polite when she came to our room to help get the TV working properly. I’d recommend this hotel to my family for a night or two. The breakfast was extravagant, with everything hot and fresh.
