Americas Best Value Inn St. Robert

We booked a room with two queen beds for two nights. The room was small but felt homey, and the beds were nice. The bed bottoms made a lot of noise when we sat down, like thunder, and the toilets took a while to flush. Still, it was a very nice stay.

I needed somewhere clean and convenient to sleep for the night, and the hotel was basic and outdated but did the job. The woman at the front desk around 6 PM on 5/14/25 was beyond rude, though. After we heard the advertised “walk in special” was actually more expensive than booking online, she seemed unhappy that we’d reserved online for less.

I don’t usually write reviews, but what they did after I left deserves one. About two hours after checking out, I realized I’d left my wallet in the room. I called, and they arranged to have someone ship it overnight to my final destination. That let me get there on time and handle my obligations instead of adding four hours of driving. Amazing of them, and I’d recommend this as a stop for anyone. I’d stopped while passing through on a long drive. The room was spacious and comfortable for the price, and the front desk worker was very kind.

The continental breakfast is pretty basic, though Cracker Barrel is right next door. It’s a great value for the money. One thing to know: the large hot tub shown in several pictures isn’t in use. Bring it back and I’d return.
