The service was excellent. They treated me like a valued guest, not just a number, and the rates were very reasonable, with free Wi-Fi and coffee included. The rooms were very clean and had everything I needed. It also seemed like a good area: I saw a young woman jogging alone after 10 pm, and our cars weren't broken into. A great place to stay.

Mike, who runs the motel, was very kind. It was cold and rainy, so he turned on the heat for us. The Western Lodge had the affordable, pet-friendly stay in Rawlins I was looking for, and the rooms were very clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. There's beautiful Western art in the lobby and along the halls, plus drift wood art in the parking lot. The place just had a great vibe, and I'd definitely stay again.

The manager was really nice when we called, but said it was a busy night and we might find it sold out if we didn't reserve. That felt a little manipulative when we arrived at 1 am and saw only one or two other cars in the lot. From the parking lot, the place looked almost abandoned, like it wasn't even open, and the pictures make it look better than it is. The room was clean enough, but the decor and very old smell aren't for the faint of heart. I like supporting small, locally owned places, but this one had too strange a vibe for me. 😬

On my way to Yellowstone, I spent one night here. The owner was really welcoming and nice, and it felt like staying somewhere the owner actually cares about. Prices were reasonable, and I'd highly recommend it.

We got to the motel around 8 while out on a hunting trip. It has a real old-time Western Lodge look, with cool decor and furniture, and it was still clean. Everything worked, though I could've used more blankets. The bathroom was a little run down but well maintained and not messy. The front desk smelled a little weird, and the man there was kind, though a bit odd. I think it was because we had a weird situation going on. The location looked a little unsettling after dark, but nothing was taken from my truck.
