Sea Island Resorts

Melissa at the front desk was spectacular and made us feel like we were the hotel's only guests. The value, rooms, and location were all perfect. We're at the cloister now, and I almost prefer the inn. Just a perfect stay all around.

The drive into the area is beautiful, and this little gem is definitely worth checking out. Rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast was great, with lots of hot and cold choices. Every staff member we met was attentive, personable, and courteous.

The property is very pretty, but we couldn't sleep during our two nights here. The mattress sank, and the pillows were far too high, making it probably the most uncomfortable bed we've ever had. We were also kept awake by a loud thumping that lasted over an hour. It sounded like a treadmill or dryer and nearly drove us crazy. If you must stay here, bring your own pillows. For anyone using a resort pass to visit the Cloister and Beach Club, the shuttle can take up to 30 minutes after you request it. Those properties are gorgeous, but restaurant service and most of the food leave a lot to be desired.

I'd happily stay here again. The hotel was lovely, quiet, and very clean, and our room was fresh each time we returned. The pool was sparkling and pleasant, with enough loungers, umbrellas, and towels. The courtyard had a Mediterranean feel, and bottled water was available by reception and in the gym. Breakfast was about what I'd expect at a three-star property: eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, and juice. Mostly processed, but a little better than average. The design and decor felt somewhere between three and four stars.
