Looking back, I appreciate Stamford Corners more after our experience in White Plains. The supposedly nicer building by the train station was a former Bozzuto property, like Stamford Corners, and had good reviews when Bozzuto managed it. Things went downhill after it was sold to Waterton, and living there was a disaster. We stayed at Stamford Corners the year before, before moving to White Plains for our son's care. It wasn’t perfect: there was limited kitchen counter space, no microwave, and the appliances weren’t always the best. Still, maintenance was responsive and capable, the heat worked well enough, and the friendly staff put on a fair number of community activities. It had a good community feel.
