The only real downside was construction across the street, which has nothing to do with the hotel. Noise can start around 7 a.m., depending on which way your room faces, so bring earplugs if you like to sleep in. Everything else worked well for me: a great room, friendly staff, and a really walkable area with plenty of food and things to do. The Italian restaurant downstairs was great too. The location gets a 15 out of 10 from me. I'd definitely stay again.

I judge a hotel by the experience, and the staff here delivered everything you'd expect from a world-class Marriott, and then some. If you're visiting Stamford, don't miss the chance to stay here. It's also perfectly placed for getting around: restaurants all over, Target just around the corner, and the train to NYC within walking distance. I'm from Florida, so it felt a bit cold, but that's not on Marriott!

The front desk staff were pleasant, and the bedding was clean. The room felt a bit dated, though, and we couldn't find any parking, free or paid, during our visit. Saturday night got noisy. The downtown Stamford location is very good, but the place still felt like an overpriced motel on steroids.

The rooms are fairly new and nice, and the location is good. It's an expensive Marriott, with valet parking only. Service was fine, though nothing special. The gym across the way is better.

This Courtyard in downtown Stamford left me doubtful about both cleanliness and amenities. The room had almost nothing in it, not even a spot for the tiny soap. The towels looked gray and barely washed, and the so-called coffee maker was below freshman standards. The hotel's cost cutting went far enough to make a traveler uncomfortable. There were valet attendants, but they ignored a visitor, leaving the guest to chase them down and ask for help.
