The people were nice, check-in was simple once I followed the signs and used the phone, and it's handy if you're just passing through. The room was roomy enough and the bed got me through the night, but I wouldn't be eager to return. It had floral curtains, furniture that didn't match, worn carpet, and a bathroom that made me glad I'd brought flip flops. We stayed a couple of years ago, and the place felt frozen in time. It's a small-town roadside motel, plain and not trying to be anything fancier. Maybe it's been updated since, but don't expect a classy country manor. For one night, if all you need is a bed and a lock on the door, it does the job. I still mutter “ugh, Jenny” when I drive by.

Donna was a gracious host, and breakfast was made fresh for us when we came down. My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary weekend here last weekend, Sept. 12-14. The location worked really well for us, and we'd definitely stay again if we visit the area.

My family loves the nostalgic, quaint upstate feel here, and we hope to come back soon. We were there over the July 4th weekend and had another great stay. Donna is fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious, with coffee refills whenever I wanted.

The room was much bigger than I expected, more like a mini apartment, with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and kitchen sink with counter space. It was spotlessly clean and warmed up nicely. There was a sitting area outside each room, though it was too cold for me to sit out and enjoy the view. I met Donna at check-in, and the lobby felt warm and cozy with its Christmas decorations. This was my first stay at Jenny's Country Manor, just one night while I took care of something nearby. I wish I'd had more time, and I look forward to coming back in warmer weather and seeing the antique cars on the property. Thanks for a short but amazing stay.

The rooms and grounds were spotless, and my room was surprisingly spacious. I found a booking at Jenny's at short notice for a fall trip upstate, and the room was a great deal. Breakfast is offered, but I didn't try it, so I can't say how it was. Some critical reviews seem to focus on looks, but I didn't find the place outdated, gross, or dirty. Its vintage charm suited my weekend in the historic hudson valley perfectly. It has more character than the sad, soulless gray boxes you get at so many modern motels and hotels. More motels should look like this.
