Holiday Inn Express & Suites Starkville by IHG

The woman at the desk was very nice and brought us extra towels right away, but the room was outdated and dirty. The surfaces looked clean, yet the floors and bathtub weren’t. I wiped the bathroom floor with a hand towel and it turned dark gray almost immediately. After showering, my bare feet were black and brown from walking on the rug. The hallways were dingy too, so we didn’t ask to switch rooms. Room 332. Not worth the bother.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times while visiting the university. This time we arrived late, and the desk attendant had our paperwork ready; check-in took about five minutes. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good. Our window looked over a pool that seemed well kept. The wall thermostat didn’t seem to control the AC, so we had to adjust it at the unit. It took us a while to figure that out. Not a bad place to stay in Starkville.

A great place to stay. It’s very comfortable, and the staff are pleasant. I enjoy it every time I’m here.

The location made it easy to walk to nearby places for food, and there are plenty of shops and things to do close by. Staff helped my family get extra towels and suggested places to visit. Our room was clean and nice, and breakfast was included. I especially liked the veggie omelets. The pool was open and clean, though there weren't any towels out there, so you may need to pick some up at the front desk first.
