The main problem here is the food. Dinner was served in only half of the front lobby, and the prices felt outrageous for food that was average at best. Breakfast isn’t complimentary, and what they do serve was atrocious. There were seven people in the “restaurant,” yet our food came out cold, and the service was god awful. The hotel itself was average. I’d stay somewhere else, eat dinner out, and get a decent complimentary breakfast in the morning.

The outdoor seating is a favorite of mine, and the lobby shop is handy. There’s also an indoor fireplace and modern décor that make the hotel feel warm and relaxing, like a home away from home. The restaurant on site is great, too. I’ve stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn State College several times, and each visit has been excellent. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are spotless and comfortable. I should’ve written this review sooner. You really can’t find a better value in the area!

It’s easy to find on E College Ave, and far enough from the highway that traffic noise wasn’t an issue. Inside, the bright, modern look and good condition surprised me. The lobby and room were nice, the staff friendly, and breakfast was great.

Christina made our stay so much better with her thoughtful attention. I sent one quick text and she immediately brought toothbrushes and toothpaste to my room. She also took lots of pictures for us in the lobby and made sure our suits and dresses were spotless before we left for the event. Thank you Chris!

The room was clean and comfortable, but what I’ll remember most is Chelsea at the front desk. I was staying here to visit my mom, who is on hospice, and Chelsea gave me a little gift package with the sweetest card. That kind gesture and her compassion put the biggest smile on my face during a really hard time. I’ll definitely stay here again and can’t wait to give her a big hug next time. :)
