We visited in summer as part of our timeshare and would stay here again if we’re in the area. It’s a quiet spot with plenty of parking. Our recently remodeled room looked modern and stylish, and nearly everything was in excellent condition. The little kitchen was especially well equipped, though bring your own food. There’s only a starter supply of coffee, salt, and pepper. The bathroom was small but nice, with a quartz vanity and tiled shower. We knew there wouldn’t be daily housekeeping. The disappointing part was that the hot tub seemed to be broken, possibly for good. Guests had apparently been able to use the hot tub at their sister resort up the hill, but I gather that arrangement has ended. Your experience may vary.

We had a spacious two-bedroom room with modern decor and nice furnishings. Getting there means driving about four or five miles up the mountain, and it gets really dark at night. There are plenty of other rentals and resorts in that same area.

It's quiet and set away from the city, with a full kitchen and all the utensils you need. Don't expect daily hotel cleaning, but for what it is, it's great.

We were told at the front desk that our unit had already been vacated when we arrived early, and that they’d ask housekeeping to prioritize it. When we called three hours later, at 3 p.m., they said it would be ready at 4, the normal check-in time. But at 4 the cleaners hadn’t even started. We waited in the parking lot until 5, when the rooms were finally ready. The check-in process was terrible and misleading. I would have appreciated an honest update from the start. This wasn’t the cleaning staff’s fault.

We normally stay at Kingsbury of Tahoe, so this was our first time booking this hotel through VI Resort. The two-bedroom units were roomy and clean, and seem to have been upgraded recently. Unlike Kingsbury, this place has AC for summer. We’re looking forward to booking more stays here.
