The rooms are clean and the price is low, so you get what you pay for. But when I returned, our door was standing open. I saw it from the parking lot, and it was still open when we got upstairs. The towels had been replaced and the trash taken out, so I assumed housekeeping had been in, but they left without closing the door. I was terrified that our things had been stolen, and I don't feel safe there now. It ruined the whole stay.

At $246 a night, there was no excuse for this room. If our reservation had been refundable, we would have left as soon as we saw it. The hostess working around 8 pm last night was very nice, but the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned or used in ages: heavy dust, bugs, and a dirty toilet and vanity. I used a washcloth to wipe things down. The tub repairs were awful, with peeling fiberglass, wall paint over the drain and nearby area, and a plastic disk like a doorknob wall patch. We didn't use the tub. The bathroom door had drink splatters and dirt, and the full-length mirror was filthy. All four pillows were half the size of normal ones, and there was no mini fridge or microwave. In the morning I had to scrub the nasty coffee pot and coffee maker, which looked like they hadn't been wiped down in weeks or months. There was more I could say, but this was our first and last stay.

The best part was being close to downtown, with everything in walking distance. The people at the desk were nice, but our booking was for a king smoking room and they put us in a non-smoking room. Even after I showed them the booking, they had no king smoking rooms left, so we took a double queen, which was okay. The room itself was gross. The bathroom and bath/shower were dirty, the door was dented as if someone had tried to break in, and the stale smoke smell was so bad I almost wished we hadn't switched rooms. The location also felt unsafe, especially at night. I won't stay again unless they do some serious renovations.

For what we paid, the room and hotel weren't worth it. The bed seemed to be the cleanest thing in the room. There was visible dirt in the bathroom and toenail clippings on the floor. At 4:30 a.m., the receptionist was helping us while wearing pajamas. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but I did expect a clean bathroom.
