For $35, the room was more modern than I expected and didn't smell, and the bed was pretty comfortable. I did see a cockroach in the bathroom, though the walls were stained. The staff greeted me pleasantly even though I arrived late. I checked for bed bugs first, of course. For just crashing for five hours, I guess it was worth the $35.

The rooms are sparsely furnished and feel unwelcoming. I found hair in the bathtub and a stink bug in the bed, and the bathroom ceiling had mold and peeling drywall. There's a sign outside claiming the rooms are newly renovated, but the baby blue tile by the sink and pink bathroom tile look straight out of the 1960s. Cheap and dirty.

It's older, but clean and well maintained. The beds are good, and the TV is too. The shower has hot water and a strong spray, though it's really suited to someone around 4 ft 11. Still usable. The price is cheap, and you can use the coupon in the "red" hotel discount book.

There were fire ants inside and outside, even on the beds, and the mosquitoes were absolutely horrendous. They also refused coupons and made up a high total to see whether you'd pay it.

BEWARE!! I was quoted $50 on the phone after asking about their $30 coupon, because they said they don't honor that rate on Fridays. We decided to check in anyway, but ten minutes later he said the room was $70. When I asked him to stick to the price he'd just quoted, I got some serious attitude. How does a $30 room turn into $70 in ten minutes? Total scam. You can get a much nicer room in Staunton for $70.
