The Inn at Steamboat

The people here made us feel at home, and the breakfast was delicious with a good range of choices. It's close to a lot of tourist areas, and we never drove more than 20 minutes to get to anything we wanted to do. The rooms were nice with a great view, and having laundry on site was awesome. Cozy place, and great for the money. I'm hesitant to share all the good details because I need to book it for next year, and I'd be sad if you took all the rooms. Seriously, 10/10 hidden gem.

The helpful, friendly staff and good range of breakfast choices made this a great little find. People with special dietary needs might have a harder time with breakfast. The room was comfortable and just right for our family of four. The place is small, so getting from the parking lot to our room was easy. Each kid had a bed in a separate room. The beds were lovely, though a bit soft depending on your taste.

It's a little hard to find, so you'll need GPS, but it's a really nice place. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, without being glamorous or flashy, and not quite rustic either. Breakfast was very nice, with no powdered egg mix, thank you very much. It's close to the shops, and they offer shuttle rides. The rooms also have locally crafted soaps and shampoos. I visited just after Xmas, and they had put real care into the decorations. If you don't need fancy, this is a great stay.

With only about 30-40 rooms, the dining area, common spaces, and hot tub and pool never felt crowded. Even so, the Inn had the amenities of a bigger resort, including frequent rides into town and to the slopes, plus a room for ski gear. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Tea, coffee, and cookies by the lobby fire were a lovely touch. The Inn has a great feel.
