My daughter slept on the trundle under the couch and on the couch itself, and she got bedbugs even though this is a new location. The rest of us don’t have any signs. We were there from around midnight Friday night until checking out Sunday morning, visiting family and hardly spending time in the room. The staff were generally friendly and understanding, and the manager seemed nice and believable. She said she tried to apply a discount above 50%, but it didn’t work, so they gave us 50% off. That seems stupid to me. Why are they applying discounts? Is that all the authority the hotel gives its manager? This has nothing to do with her or the staff. She really was trying to help, but she’s in charge and can’t do more. It’s the hotel chain itself. Now I have to clean and fumigate, throw away belongings, and deal with the lost time and inconvenience. Half off the stay doesn’t cover that. I want all my money back, the cleaning paid for, and compensation for my time. I wouldn’t risk it.

The new management has clearly made a positive difference. The place feels refreshed, with spotless, well-kept rooms and thoughtful updates. There’s been a lot of care put into the atmosphere and service. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and eager to help guests feel welcome. I especially appreciated their genuine hospitality and attention to detail throughout my visit. I don’t often find a place that feels this refreshed and committed to doing well. Kudos to the new management team. I had a wonderful stay, will definitely return, and would recommend it to friends and family.

I spent three weeks here on a work deployment, and the whole team made the stay comfortable. The housekeeping manager’s warmth and kindness felt like Southern hospitality and made the place feel like home. Housekeeping went above and beyond, and the front desk staff were professional, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. My stay at the Marriott in Sterling Heights was amazing. If you’re visiting the area, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and the genuine care of the staff. I’ll return next time I’m in town.

We arrived after midnight, and the staff got us into our room quickly and brought the extra things we needed. The hotel was very clean, though it was also brand new, and quiet. Breakfast was all laid out and fully stocked. The breakfast and front desk staff were super friendly. I’m so glad we chose this location!

We had a large room for three adults with two queen beds, so there was plenty of space to spend time together without feeling cramped. The couch was comfortable, although the TV faced the beds more than the couch. Since the building was new construction, everything was in great condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights a few weeks ago. We wanted to use the pool, but the chlorine smell was so strong we left without even getting wet. The ice machine on the 4th floor was out of order, though the one on the floor above worked, so no big deal. Breakfast fruit was quite disappointing. Every piece looked like it had been rattling around in my kids’ backpack for a week. Maybe two.
