I needed somewhere to sleep while working in Sterling, and staying here beat driving two hours each way every day. There were some online issues I won’t get into, but Grant went out of his way to sort things out and fit me in. The first room hadn’t been updated yet, though it was fine. On my second night they moved me to one of their renovated rooms, which was spacious and really nicely decorated. My job ended up sending my skills to a client closer to home, so I didn’t get to stay three nights a week as planned. No complaints about that, of course. This may not be the best place in town, but I’d put money on the staff being the best. The rooms aren’t as bad as some people say, especially if you just need a place to rest for a night or a few. I forgot to take pictures, but it was well worth staying here. Thanks for the extra effort and for making me feel welcome. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

We spent Christmas here and they gave guests a lovely dinner at no charge. That honey ham was so good. The hotel has a patriotic feel, with an American Flag, and a nice courtyard with pleasant decor. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and it’s dog friendly too. Best value in Sterling.

I got bitten by bed bugs here, and I’m hoping I kept the infested clothes contained so they don’t spread to my house. Then, in the parking lot, an upholstery tack went through my shoe and into my foot. The people running the place were nice, but the place itself felt low class. I should’ve moved on.

It was quiet, the room was clean, and the staff were super friendly. They treated me like family, and I’d definitely stay again. I’d rather support local businesses anyway than pay the prices at an overpriced franchise motel.

We had a confirmed reservation made a couple of months ahead, but when we arrived around 10 p.m. there was nobody at the desk. We’d been told we had to arrive by 11, so we called the number taped to the lobby door. After about 15 minutes, someone finally came out and said they were overbooked and couldn’t do anything for us. Before that, the person on the phone had no idea what was going on and said they were full for the night. We never even got into the lobby. She spoke to us in the parking lot, then walked away laughing. The woman looked unkempt, and the whole thing came across as a “tough luck” attitude. Horrible customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
