Sleep Inn & Suites Steubenville at the University

The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, and for the price this place beats everything else in its range. It’s not a 4-5 star hotel, but as someone who travels a lot for work and has stayed in many hotels, I think it’s one of the best values I’ve found. The only thing I didn’t like was the taste of the water, though I’m not sure there’s much they can do about it. Maybe bring a gallon for the mini fridge. I’ll be looking for more Sleep Inn & Suites.

The outdoor area was perfect for our kids to run around after a long stretch in the car. The staff were so hospitable, too, and pointed us to Naples spaghetti house for dinner. We came back for dessert on the patio, where the fire pit was a treat. We were surprised to find two top-of-the-line built-in BBQs as well. They’ve put real effort into making the place comfortable for short or longer stays. The river and bridge view from our clean, working room was beautiful. My husband is very picky about mattresses and slept like a baby. He likes the AC cranked up wherever we stay, and our room was an icebox just how he likes it. I loved the hot, clean shower, bath products, soft sheets, and luxurious pillows. We all had a big breakfast on the patio before getting back on the road, and the kids loved making their own waffles. This was the perfect place for our family road trip stop and let us recharge.

Spenser welcomed me warmly and was so personable. The hotel was cute, convenient, clean, and reasonably priced, with a beautiful view of the Ohio River, West Virgina, and Ohio. I stayed one night on a business trip and was glad it brought me to this area. I’d love to come back for a few days when I’m not traveling for work. Thanks for your hospitality, Spenser!

The beds were ridiculously clean and more comfortable than my own. The breakfast was no joke either: boiled eggs, cereal, cream cheese, bagels, and fruit cups, they had it all. From manager Kathy to overnight worker autumn, everyone was exceptional. I don't care what anybody says, this place is truly exceptional. I’ll be returning, and as far as hotels go, it’s my only choice.
