Capital O Stevenson Inn Riverside

After a three-hour drive, I got there at 7:00 pm with a reservation, but no one answered the door so I could check in. I went somewhere else and won't be back.

The front desk never answers when you call to ask what's going on. The motel lets 18 wheeler drivers sleep in the parking lot with their engines running all night, and it's the noisiest motel I've ever seen.

The real inn is on 40 Wa. 14, and it's a dive. The photos are from a place that no longer exists, so don't be fooled. We booked before reading the other reviews, and after seeing the place, I believe them. There was no toilet paper when we arrived, and no working room phone to call about it. I went to the office, but it was locked and empty. My husband had to call on his cell just to get service. Someone was there, but apparently couldn't hear me banging on the door. The shower was filthy, with hair stuck to the wall. The tub had cigarette burns, and the curtain was moldy at the seams. There were brown stains on the sheets, holes in the window curtains and bathroom door, and the fridge barely kept anything cool. It could have potential, but the owner needs to actually improve things instead of apologizing to reviewers for how sad the place is, or sell it. It's embarrassing. Save your dignity and don't stay here.

I haven't stayed yet, but checking in was enough to gross me out. The place looks nothing like the photos online. Only stay here as a last resort.
