America's Stay Inn Stewartville

I was traveling 2.5 hours and expected an email confirmation, but nothing came through email or otherwise. They only had the confirmation at the desk. I wouldn't book with them again.

We stayed on 8/9/25 for a wedding reception at the VFW on the same block, so the location worked perfectly. I'd stay again if I had the same reason to be in town. We were also granted a late checkout, and the motel was quiet during our weekend. There was a quiet-hours sign, and guests weren't allowed in the rooms. Room #104 was clean, as was the bed, but the A/C cooled without dehumidifying. By the second day, some clothes felt damp. My Mom's handicapped room was fine, though the furniture was dated, and the motel has no elevator. Breakfast was mostly carbs: toast, bagels, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, cereal, plus Snack-Pak pudding instead of yogurt. There was fruit and peanut butter for protein. Coffee came regular or from a machine with hot chocolate and Vanilla Latte. I didn't like the cranberry juice. They don't replenish the food, so early birds get the best selection. That weekend's guests included families, the wedding party, bikers returning from Sturgis, and couples.

Really clean and quiet. They advertise breakfast, but it was literally just bread, coffee, and juice...

We paid about $85/night, which felt reasonable. They required payment up front, and checkout was quick and easy. We were able to check in without a reservation. The rooms were clean and cozy, with the things we needed: a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, phone, and TV. There are vending machines on site, plus a gas station a very short walk away and a grocery store a short drive away. I liked the continental breakfast. There wasn't any hot or prepared food, but there was a good range of breads, cereal, oatmeal, Pop-Tarts, drinks, and fruit.
