Sunset Motel

The place is worn down and run down, but my room was clean and comfortable. No bugs, and I slept comfortably. One night came to $70 with tax.

There was no Wi-Fi, though I saw that when I booked, and I didn't see any bedbugs. The fridge was unplugged when I arrived, but it was working within an hour. The tub looked very white, but the supposedly clean washcloth on it didn't look clean. The windowsill was completely dirty. I also wondered about the door: no extra locks, peephole, or rules and regulations. I wanted to open the window, but it was an old single-pane window in a steel frame, maybe 60 years old. I have no idea what B. Y. O. P. means, sorry.

Severe weather caught us while we were camping at Ute Lake, so we had to leave quickly and find a room instead of driving four hours home. Management held a room for us until we got there and welcomed us warmly. The rooms are still being updated, but ours had newer vinyl flooring, clean newer beds, a TV with all cable channels, and was non-smoking. I really appreciated the management and would recommend it to anyone passing through.

The beds were super comfortable, and the flooring and beds were clean. It reminded me of a youth camp cabin. There were scratches on the walls, cracked bathroom tile, no tub drain plug, and the sink needs caulking. The fridge and microwave were unplugged when I arrived. I was hesitant to use the heat, but it worked fine. It was an okay stay, though the bathroom heater could use some TLC.
