Comfort Inn & Suites

I liked having a king room and guest laundry, and I appreciated those features. The $100 damage hold bothered me, since it could take up to a week to clear even for someone who respects the property. I’d also like to see gluten-free breakfast choices and pricing or discounts for solo travelers, since rates are based on double occupancy.

The room smelled like someone had smoked in it before, there were dead bugs on the windowsill, and the bent shower curtain wouldn’t stay shut. The hot tub could’ve been warmer, too. Breakfast on the second day was disappointing: when I went down at 8:15, the eggs, bacon, and sausage were gone, and I didn’t see anyone restocking them. I don’t eat this, but there also wasn’t any gravy for the biscuits and gravy. The front desk staff were very friendly when we arrived, the location was good, and the beds were fairly comfortable.

The front desk staff were great and very accommodating, and everything else was clean. I did find some hairs in the shower at check-in, which was kind of gross. The hot breakfast selection was a bit smaller than at most Country Inn and Suites, but it was fine. Great location, about a 2-mile drive to the river. I’d stay again for the price.

My room felt damp, including the bed, and the rug seemed wet. The worst part was that there was no food for the complimentary breakfast. I was told they were waiting for a truck that never arrived, and some other customers said it had been the same the day before. There were also lots of rules, including one against gathering in the lobby at any time. Just okay feels like too high a rating, and I can’t recommend this hotel.
