Getting breakfast from the building up the hill meant walking outside in the cold, which was super inconvenient. The property seems to be split across two buildings after the former hotel next door was bought out, and those rooms don't cost less. We also had cold, undercooked eggs and sausage at a mediocre breakfast. Our bathroom wasn't very clean, with ceiling stains, and the shower needs attention. The hallways are outdated and the rooms are just okay, not worth $150+ per night. We've stayed here during deer season for the past two years, but will probably look elsewhere next year. Both years, despite prepaying for a 2-queen room, we arrived to hear the hotel had overbooked and that room type was gone. They offered a king with a rollaway or a room with two small full beds, neither workable for 3-4 adults. There was no partial refund or price reduction, even though we didn't get what we paid for.

I called on Sunday to cancel my Wednesday reservation because my dog had been injured, which was why I was going to the area. At 4:59 pm West Coast time, the front desk girl told me it was cancelled. Then on Wednesday I got a text saying they looked forward to my check-in. When I called, they said they couldn't cancel it. Every time I've dealt with them, they've told me one thing and then done another or changed their story. I even offered to send a screenshot of my call log with the time and duration. Before that, I had called on the reservation day to question the fees: the reservation was $799, but they said they'd charge $581.92 in fees. I thought the refundable booking terms on the Quality Inn website were unreasonable and deceptive. I guess it's my fault for not reading the fine print, but the cancellation mess made it worse.

The breakfast was small, but still good, and we especially enjoyed the complimentary Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the lobby. We needed to stock up during our weeklong stay, so having a Walmart right behind the hotel was very convenient. This is the nicest Quality Inn I've visited so far. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and all the staff were friendly.
