Home2 Suites by Hilton Stillwater

We usually choose Hilton because those hotels are nicer, and this stay wasn't good. The fridge wasn't working when we checked the appliances, and although we reported it, it still hadn't been fixed by checkout. Breakfast was a joke: cereal with no milk, no toast or plates, and the silverware was still dirty. There wasn't enough food out, and when we asked for more, we were ignored. This hotel needs to step things up.

The staff were nice, and there was a spacious lounge downstairs. The breakfast was below what I'd usually expect, but manageable. The room was thoughtfully designed and very practical for working, with space for my equipment and files. There was also a drape to close off the sleeping area for privacy, and the bathroom was functional.

I came to Stillwater for training, but my original hotel wasn't good. The organizers saw the state of the hotel and room and moved me here. It took them only ten minutes to arrange a room, and the staff were amazing. The room and whole hotel were clean and well put together. I'm eating breakfast here now and wanted to give them a shout-out. I honestly can't think of a complaint. Great spot, and I love the staff.

After we'd booked three nights online, we needed to add one more. The same woman who'd smiled at me over breakfast 12 hours earlier handled the extra night with real grace and enthusiasm. Once it was sorted, she suggested some local places to eat. I appreciated how well she knew the local food scene. Her name is Dozie. If you stay here and get greeted by her friendly smile, you're likely to have a great experience.
