Hampton Inn Atlanta - Stockbridge

The location is handy, just off the highway and close to dinner options for the end of the day. The hotel was very clean, and the night check-in staff and Margo this morning were kind and gave us great service. Thank you.

The hotel staff and location were great, what I'd expect from a Hilton property, and I'd definitely stay again. The place seemed to be getting updated, though the plumbing work wasn't done well. The toilet's feed line wasn't secured and went through a rough hole in the wallpaper. Water leaked down the shower wall because the spout pipe was loose. I tightened it myself, but it still hadn't been caulked, so it moved around when the shower was on. The new bathroom counter was an odd choice, maybe half the depth of a normal one, so anyone with lots of toiletries may need to keep them in their luggage. The shower door wasn't set right and would roll open randomly. My room door was misaligned too, so the deadbolt hit the striker plate and couldn't lock. When they asked how things were going, I mentioned these issues. They weren't a big deal to me, but I wanted them to know the construction crew might need some quality control. They may have fixed these things by now.

The room, bathroom, and bedsheets were all quite clean. But the AC was so loud it sounded like a plane taking off. My daughter slept on the couch, and it was like sleeping on bricks. The floor might've been more comfortable.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the stay had some rough edges. My room had been updated while the hotel was still being remodeled, yet the toilet rocked because it wasn't level and the shower corners were cracked. Hot water was scarce, and breakfast was limited to things like cereal and muffins while the kitchen was under renovation. The surrounding area wasn't great either, and most of the other guests were loud and annoying.
