We only stayed because we were in town for a wedding and other hotels were booked. The staff weren’t friendly, not one smile, and nobody even apologized for the problems. The hall carpet was dirty, and the floor felt warped and uneven. This place is a dump, and it shouldn’t be called a hotel. Please keep driving if you see the sign by an exit. The trouble started with the room. There was nowhere proper to put clothes: no closet, hangers, or drawers, just two colored knobs sticking out of the wall. There was no clock or wastebasket, and the bathroom shower had nothing to hold on to when getting in or out. On Friday, June 5, 2026, the elevator was out when we returned that night. My sister had a stroke a few years ago, so the stairs were hard for her. The next day, Saturday, June 6, 2026, we came back from shopping around 1:30 in the afternoon and the water was off. They said pipe work would take three or four hours. Thankfully, we had showered that morning. On Sunday, June 7, 2026, after morning services, we returned around 12:30 and the water was off again. They said they were working on the pipes and the paste sealing them needed time to dry. The whole experience was absolutely horrible.

The room was clean and the location is good, but the marijuana smell was overwhelming. They say the place is completely smoke free, yet it hit me as soon as I came through the door, and my room reeked too. If smoke bothers you, don’t stay here. It was 7 p.m. and I couldn’t find anywhere else to go, so I’ve been running the fan nonstop.
The housekeeping staff are the nicest people working here, and the rooms are clean. My experience with the owner, Mr. Patel, and his nephew Winnie was very different. They lack the professional and emotional intelligence needed for hospitality work in the United States. If you’re looking for genuine American and Southern hospitality, I wouldn’t stay here. I’d suggest Country Inn & Suites at I-75 South exit 216 instead. The front desk team there are very nice, as is the rest of the hotel staff. If you’re visiting Georgia and want to stay in McDonough, I’d encourage you to book with them.
Our room was much bigger than I expected, and it was an accessible room, clean and very nice. The hotel feels spacious and is clean, and the staff were kind. We came for a one-night date night away from home and were pleased. It’s tucked away, but the main road nearby has stores like Walmart, Dollar tree, Rainbow, car repair shops, restaurants, and a hospital right there, which is convenient. Our room was at the back, with a pretty view out the window. There was some construction in the basement, but it didn’t bother us. Breakfast was good for what it was, though I’d have liked more choices like oatmeal or yogurt. We’ll definitely stay again, thank you.
After five days here, the on-site laundry was a real help. The place is affordable and centrally located, with everything I needed a short distance away whether I had transportation or not. My room and towels were clean, and the front desk staff answered all my questions. Everyone, from reception to the room attendants, was friendly and helpful, and they made sure I got assistance with whatever I needed. I’ll come back when I visit friends and family again.
